From Garage to Floral Studio: Creating a Space Where Flowers Begin

Over the past little while, I’ve been working on something that feels really special, creating a dedicated studio space for Full Bloom Florals.
It doesn’t look like much from the outside yet. There’s paint on the walls, shelves being rearranged, and tools finding their new homes. But to me, this space represents growth, not just in my business, but in my creative journey.
This is where the flowers will begin.
Why I Needed a Studio Space
For a long time, I designed wherever I could make room, kitchen counters, temporary setups, and spaces that changed depending on the season.
And while that worked for a while, I started dreaming about something more intentional. A place where I could:
Design comfortably and efficiently
Store flowers properly
Prep weddings without feeling rushed
Let creativity flow without constantly packing everything away
Creating a studio isn’t about perfection, it’s about building a space that supports the work I love.

Building It Slowly (and Thoughtfully)
This project has been a true labour of love.
There’s been painting, organizing, repurposing, and a lot of “make it work with what I have.” I’ve been transforming the space piece by piece , adding a workbench, shelving, and creating room for the big cooler that will keep flowers fresh during busy wedding weeks.
It’s not fancy or finished yet, and honestly, that’s part of the beauty.
This studio is growing the same way my business has grown: slowly, intentionally, and with heart.

A Space That Reflects My Style
I’ve always believed flowers should feel natural, personal, and full of life. I wanted this studio to reflect that same feeling, calm, creative, and inspiring.
As I organize everything, I keep imagining:
Buckets of flowers waiting to be designed
Seedlings starting early in the season
Wedding mornings filled with excitement and beautiful chaos
Bloom bar preparations coming to life
It feels like creating the behind-the-scenes foundation for all the moments my clients eventually see.

More Than Just a Workspace
This studio isn’t just about storage or practicality, it represents a new chapter.
It’s about giving myself permission to grow. To create intentionally. To build a business that feels sustainable, joyful, and aligned with how I want to work.
There’s something really special about creating a space where ideas can bloom long before the flowers do.
Looking Ahead
Right now it’s winter, and everything still feels quiet, but in this studio, spring already feels close.
Soon there will be flowers filling buckets, wedding designs coming together, and the energy of a new season taking over.
I can’t wait to share more of the process as it comes to life.
Thank you for following along as Full Bloom Florals continues to grow, one bloom, and one step, at a time.
